DCP Humeral Plate: Precision Dynamic Compression Implant For Humeral Fracture Fixation
The DCP Humeral Plate is a standard dynamic compression orthopedic implant designed for the internal fixation of various humeral fractures. Following classic AO fracture fixation principles, this plate system provides reliable mechanical stability and automatic interfragmentary compression, effectively promoting bone healing for humeral shaft, proximal and distal humeral fractures. Widely used in routine orthopedic trauma surgery, it serves as a mainstream implant for humeral fracture reduction and permanent fixation.
The core feature of the DCP (Dynamic Compression Plate) design lies in its precision oblique screw hole architecture. During screw insertion, the screw slides along the hole’s inclined track, generating continuous and uniform dynamic compression between fractured bone segments. This compression eliminates fracture gaps, enhances bone contact tightness, and stimulates callus formation, which accelerates bone union and reduces nonunion risks. The plate is pre-contoured according to human humeral anatomical morphology, enabling close bone fitting without excessive intraoperative bending and trimming.
Clinically adaptable, the DCP Humeral Plate is suitable for multiple humeral injuries, including simple and comminuted humeral shaft fractures, stable proximal humeral fractures, distal humeral metaphyseal fractures, and delayed union or malunion corrective fixation. Its rational hole layout allows flexible screw placement in multiple directions, achieving firm fixation for fragmented bone blocks while avoiding interference with periarticular soft tissues and joint mobility. The system balances rigid fixation and physiological micro-movement to support early postoperative functional exercise.
Fabricated from high-purity medical-grade titanium alloy or stainless steel, the implant features excellent biocompatibility, high mechanical strength and fatigue resistance. The fine polished surface minimizes soft tissue irritation and adhesion, reducing postoperative inflammatory reactions. The material supports long-term in-vivo retention and adapts to routine high-temperature sterilization for surgical use. The streamlined plate thickness reduces subcutaneous prominence, effectively improving patient comfort after implantation.
Compared with conventional ordinary plates, the DCP Humeral Plate delivers more stable compression effect, higher fitting accuracy and simpler surgical operation. It shortens operation time, lowers intraoperative trauma, and significantly improves postoperative fracture healing quality. With mature design, reliable performance and wide clinical applicability, it remains an essential standard implant for the treatment of various humeral fractures in modern orthopedic trauma surgery.
